 Through this process, you have the opportunity to learn and develop peace of mind which permeates everyday life. Participants with a commitment of over three months will have the opportunity to put their knowledge and experience into practice by serving in one of our many projects in a country of their choice.

Workstudy is a training program for those wanting to commit on a per month from month to a three months period or longer. It is a structured program designed for those wishing to immerse themselves in living the principles of yoga and become established in the yogic lifestyle under the close guidance of an Acharya.

 The daily practices include meditation, asanas, classes in social and spiritual philosophy, service (in various areas at the farm center, including cooking, dishwashing, housekeeping, gardening, animal care, building and ground maintenance), independent studies and reading assignments. Other activities also include kiirtan (mantra chanting), dharmacakra (collective meditation), satsangs(group meditation, kiirtan, singing devotional songs, study and discussion on spiritual and inspirational readings) and recreation in the context of spiritual community living.

Written application is required before acceptance to the program. If you wish to stay for more than 3 months, please state this clearly on your application form. If you wish to stay longer once here, you may submit a request to do so. Each request is considered individually and based on your engagement with the aim and activities of the center.

Costs ( 150 Euro per month, 250 Euro for 2 months, 300 Euro for 3 months). Commencement : May 15 till Oct 10

Who Should Apply?

- Those wanting to practise spiritual principles in daily life and explore Karma Yoga as part of that spiritual practice.
- Those with proven skills in vegetarian cooking, housekeeping, carpentry, construction, facility maintenance, landscaping, gardening and animals care.
- Those who are able to make a minimum commitment of one month.
- A healthy body, positive attitude, willingness to work with enthusiasm, and a spirit of cooperation and right intention are definite assets. All particpants are expected to :
- give their best effort to meet the challenges of the work,
- comply with all safety procedures,
- respect that AMERC is a non-smoking center with no tolerance for alcohol and illegal drugs at the center.
